CANCELLATION POLICY | PUBLIC WORKSHOPS

​

  • If you decide you want to cancel your place you will need to do so at least 48 hours before the workshop takes place in order to receive a refund or to reschedule your space. (there will be a 10% deduction fee from your payment to cover fees I incur for the refund). No refunds or rescheduling can be offered if you leave it later than 48 hours or say nothing at all/don't show up/mix up your date 
     

  • You can reschedule your workshop if you give me at least 48 hours notice via email. You can transfer your place to someone else for that date also, even if it's last minute. Please be considerate and let Stevie know so that you can get the best experience and save us both time and cost.
     

  • Tickets ARE transferable. If you cannot make the workshop, you can pass on your ticket to someone else, even if it's last minute. Please email me to confirm you are transferring your place.
    Remember to check your spam folder for the ticket attachment that has the workshop details. If you haven't received this, you can either check back over the workshop information on the website, or please drop me an email if you are unsure and would like to confirm your place is secure: stevie@aanadesign.com

     

  • Stevie can cancel a workshop at any time. Stevie will refund and email participants 24 - 48 hours before the workshop is supposed to take place if this is the case. Please check your emails before the workshop date.

CANCELLATION POLICY | PRIVATE GROUP WORKSHOPS​
 

  • If you'd like to book a private group workshop, a minimum of 4 participants is needed for the workshop to take place, with a maximum of 6 participants for 'Pour It' workshops. 'Paint It' workshops have a maximum of 16.
     

  • In the event of cancelling/rescheduling a private workshop, 48 hours notice must be given to Stevie. You will be refunded for the cancellation, however Stevie will deduct a 10% fee to cover charges incurred. Less than 48 hours notice will result in you losing your booking and only a 50% refund. Dates cannot be transferred/changed either. This is because it not only wastes Stevie's time, it costs money to prepare the space and experience for you and with little cancellation notice, it means other people lose out on the experience also.
     

  • No shows on the day/cancellations on the day of the workshop will not recieve a refund, nor will you be able to reschedule.  This is a huge waste of my time and money and potential space for others.
     

  • If you'd like to change the date of your private workshop please give Stevie at least 48 hours notice so that you do not lose your payment and booking! Failure to do so results in refund penalties stated above.
     

  • In the event that someone in your party cannot make it please let Stevie know via email as soon as possible. Any participant cancelling or not attending without giving at least 48 hours notice will not recieve a refund. A lot of time, cost and effort goes in to setting up and preparing the space and materials and providing food and refreshments. (a 10% fee will be deducted from your refund to cover fees incurred). Less than 48 hours cancellation notice will result in you losing your booking payment entirely, no refunds will be given for wasting money and time.

  • In the event that your party has rescheduled their workshop date more than once, a 50% refund will be given and the party will be unable to reschedule another date. This is because it costs Stevie time and money to keep rescheduling, and it prevents others from booking a workshop space on those dates.

PRIVATE 1 to 1 SESSION | 2 to 1 SESSION​
 

  • When booking a 1 to 1 / 2 to 1 session, a 50% deposit will need to be paid to secure the date/time you are requesting.
     

  • If you need to cancel the session, please give Stevie 48 hours notice in order to receive a refund or to reschedule the session. A 10% fee will be deducted from your refund to cover charges incurred. Less than 48 hours notice will result in losing your initial deposit.
     

  • If you are having a 2 to 1 session and someone has decided to cancel/cannot make the session, the workshop may still go ahead as a 1 to 1 session. However, deposits will be non-refundable..
     

  • 1 to 1 | 2 to 1 sessions start from £100 depending on what participants would like to make. In these classes, we can create an array of pieces such as several trays, large pots, coaster sets, a mixture of pieces, lamps and more.

Workshop FAQ's

​CAN MY CHILD TAKE PART IN A WORKSHOP?
- Yes! Age of 10+ is reccommended and anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult to help them through the making process and I can keep dividing my time equally through the entire group. It doesn't cost any extra, just book 1 slot and enjoy the process of creating together!

CAN MEN JOIN A WORKSHOP?
- Absolutely! Everyone is welcome to participate in a Jesmonite workshop. We have had men, women, teens and children as young as 10 join a workshop. We do not judge or discriminate here, all are welcome!
 

CAN I CHOOSE WHAT TO MAKE?
- Some workshops have a choice; for example: a bud vase or oval tray. However, workshops are generally set to make the experience easier for the participants and to keep it fun. For those who have done a previous workshop, you can potentially make something new/more complex. However, you must email in advance so we can arrange it and prices may vary depending on the item being made. Perhaps book a Private Group Workshop instead, where you have more choice in what you make!

CAN I MAKE MORE IN THE WORKSHOP IF I WANT TO?

- Yes! I now offer an 'extra pour' service during our 2 1/2 hour workshop. This means that if you enjoyed making your first piece and would like to make another item (or more!) then we can continue making. Add on pieces range from £7 and there's no rush when we have 2 1/2 hours to create!

DO I NEED TO BE CREATIVE OR CRAFTY TO TAKE PART?
- Everyone is creative even if you don't feel you can create/make things! You don't need 'crafty' skills or confidence in making. I promise you, by the time our workshop is over, you'll leave feeling confident in the fact that YOU created something and it's beautiful.

CAN I GIFT SOMEONE A WORKSHOP EXPERIENCE?

- Yes you can. When booking the workshop, you can either input their email details so that they recieve the PDF ticket, or you can send them the PDF ticket after making the purchase under your own details. You could also gift them an eGift Card, which they can then use to pay for a workshop date suitable for them. (If buying a voucher for a workshop, I recommend £38 as this is the minimum price of a workshop. All vouchers expire after 6 months).

WHY CAN'T I TAKE MY WORK HOME ON THE SAME DAY?
- Now you can, if you fancy doing the extra work at home!

- Jesmonite needs 48 hours to fully cure. If we sand and seal our Jesmonite pieces before they have fully cured we can potentially disrupt this process and weaken our pieces making them more susceptable to breaking.

- The workshop price includes my time to sand, seal and deliver your pieces to you, no hidden postage fees.

- However, if you'd like to take your piece home and complete the process yourself, I can supply you with 'take home' kits. It comes with easy to follow instructions and the process itself is very simple.

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN TAKE PART IN A WORKSHOP?
- 'Pour It' Workshops typically have 5 participants. However, on rare occasions workshops can accommodate up to 6 people and usually need a minimum of 4 to run.

- This is so everyone in the workshop can get my full attention and guidance throughout the session.

- 'Paint It workshops usually need a minimum of 4 participants and the maximum the space can hold is 16.
